*I am looking for a player or two to play NPCs from the Curse of Strahd module. I have the NPCs made in PC Gen, player may tweak and discuss and coordinate back-story with GM. This will be an experience of a life time. This is a fairly easy going, adult minded group. The objective is to have fun.
What do you not want?: We pretty much go by RAW, however we are using 3.0 rules for Ravenloft for spells and magic items, and some homebrew when necessary like new damage types that I need to make this work. As a GM I reserve the right change things for stories sake. There are some adult subjects discussed in game, we keep I cordial.

Again the player will play one or more Curse of Strahd NPCs customized for a party of mythic proportions.

This post may have some spoilers, this is a partial account of the 119th session:

The cultists were some of the vilest beings they fought in a long time, after 400-years they became wraiths. As in life these wraiths hated all life! It seemed the entire cultist wanted were their deaths so they could go on doing what they did when they were alive.
Their way was blocked, but Crimson vaulted past Rosexander and engaged a creature. Because these were incorporeal undead, they did much less damage with melee and their spells. The ex-runelord Sorshen was an enchantress undead was not her specialty, while Vehsurae was able to blast better, Yovan was unable to do much because her soul was co-located with Sorshen’s body. When she could she cast a spell here and there.

Fire and other energy damage seemed to work well. Shyrg was able to cast mass cure spells to great effect, she was able to damage her foes and at the same time heal her allies. This was especially helpful because Thornlani was mostly crying, apparently the child inhabiting Lelani’s body did not remember that she could cast spells. Once in a while Thornlani lashed out at the undead wraiths with Lelani’s scimitar as just an afterthought cutting into the undead wraiths with her magical weapon. Rosexander swung Alexander’s Serithtial shaped as a scimitar, and usually killed a wraith when it made contact in wonderment. Rosexander was so angry, but he was not Alexander and did not know how to rely fight, so Venarius and Crimson had to do most of the fighting, while the spell casters rained their spells on the enemy.

Over and over Vehsurae, Yovan and Sorshen cast chain lightning spells, stormbolts, sunbursts, fire balls, magic missiles, and scorching rays at the wraiths, some spells did more damage than others, but with Venarius, Crimson and Rosexander up front taking the brunt of the blows, the spells did enough damage to turn the tide of battle. Thornlani was crying, and Rosexander told his brother “Stop being such a sissy boy, and hit something! Thornlani did as he was told, and continued to ball his eyes out, now near her brother.
The cultists said in a foul breath of murdering fanatics “You will all die!, but Vernarius wanted just one thing, “Finish these” he said, because we need to put Rose and Thorn to rest. We can’t do this anymore.

They lay to rest the cultists this time for the second time, and moved upstairs to the children’s room. They gently picked up the children’s skeletons and brought them to their respective crypts. When they laid the kids to rest, “Rosavalda Durst” and “Thornboldt Durst” stood in front of them. The girl turned to her brother and they thanked the adventurers from Korvosa, a place they never knew existed, then the two kids looked at each other wished each other a good sleep, and their ghosts entered their respective tombs. Shyrg, the tough little ex-vampire stood there and cried as she witnessed the second passing of the two kids. As Alexander and Lelani stood blinking, Shyrg said “Now you see they are not bad kids.”

They stood in silence contemplating everything that they witnessed [To be Continued….].

Session 122:
As the group was in the grips with the horror of the chamber, it just downed the doomed handmaiden devil, and after the group unleashed all its might on it, it moved over the handmaiden’s fallen body. They saw the handmaiden liquefy below the horror, the large putrid mass began to suck the dissolved maiden devil’s essence into its shambling corrupted green collection of roots that seem to feed on there dead ally. Soon the maiden’s body was gone, unmistakably absorbed the creature glowed pucky green and some of the undead wounds healed by the negative energy fed into it.

Then group heard Vanarius say out loud "Alright darling we need to pull out all the stops, I'll make it up to you if we make it out of this alive!" Then everyone heard a woman’s disturbed voice "You better Venarius, I'll hold you to it, just so you know this is going to hurt me a lot, so hurry and finish this quickly." Almost instantly Crimson and Shyrg gasped in unity, then you saw a cleansing light emanate from the vicinity of the rogues hands and simultaneously your ears heard the same woman scream.

Vanarius could not believe it that his best arcane strike ability and his mythic ability hardly phased the horror, at the same time Alexander observed that his smite evil was less then effective on it. The thing was just absorbing their blows, then the spell casters bombarded the horror with mythic spells and normally would have seen other creatures resolve wan, but not here, not this horror, but neither did the horror drained them now.

They realized this, and Vehsurae, Lelani, and Sorshen renewed their magical attacks. The magical energy lit up the sacrificial chamber, as they directed their spell power at the mound of horrible putrescence. Fear struck them that they were marked to die, but pride came to the surface, when Shyrg healed her husband because love flowed through her to her beloved Venarius, she was truly happy to be alive.

With speed emboldened, Alexander swung at the thing, his mighty Serithtial but did tiny portion of the potential damage, but there was nowhere to go, he was the king and “kings do not retreat he thought” even though he prayed he could be anywhere but this place. The lost one ally today, but “No more!” he thought. He would carry his scars with honor if he ever escaped this realm.

More blasts lit the chamber, small Vehsurae blasting her spells with most efficient expertise, compounding the vicious damage on the thing of horror.

The King Alexander screamed as his neck was blasted by green spores so vile, that two small spots of green corruption soon appeared on his neck. The creature raged, and Sorshen and Lelani continued to blast the monstrosity till it stopped moving. Silence, Alexander dropped to his knees, and Lelani saw the sickly look of her liege lord. She attempted to remove disease, then tried to cast remove curse on him which did not work.

In silence Alexander focused on the shape, deep inside the mound of undead vines he saw something, “a root?” he thought. He got his sword and tried to pry the root out. Finally he commanded the remaining maiden to take the root. It hissed “My conscience only takes orders from Sorshen!” Lady Sorshen nodded and requested that the maiden bravely carries the King’s burden. She had to use her hands; the dark blood ran into the water as the remaining maiden devil plucked a child like shaped root from the Horror’s body. Then Sorshen thought they should find the babe’s mother, the dead shade of Marina. Again Alexander wondered if he was incurable, as he walked holding his neck.

They headed up from the dungeon to the basement, and then advanced through the stairway up the attic. They counted full 112 stairs before they exited into the attic. All was quite here, they had no stomach to stay in this death house longer then they had to, they had to know how to end this, Marina baby Willie’s mother would know Lelani agreed. Lelani had to know how to cure the Horror’s curse laid on her king. As they neared Marina’s room, on the 3rd floor they descended the stairs and entered the nursery through the secret door.

Marina was there near the babes crib. They heard her say “Help him.” As the maiden put him into the crib, then they waited for a miracle patiently, the moment stretched in pregnant silence. The Marina moaned “Bury him!”

Lelani was resolved, “we have to bury its corpse in hallowed ground!” she exclaimed. Vehsurae and Sorshen agreed. Meanwhile a yellowish miasma welled and wound out of the fireplace, the dog barked and croaked. The Maiden grabbed the infant’s deformed corrupted corpse, the moved to the grand stairway leaving the sad nursemaid Marina behind.

They descended, barely able to see in the thickening deadly smoke. The dog wined and only due to Lelani’s quick instinct did the noble beast stayed alive. Never had those stuck in a hellhole like this, wanted and needed to leave this trap. It was as if this house was united to trap them and kill them, the windows blocked their way, and the openings were bricked over. Wild with the need to leave, they neared the exit, the wicked smoke surrounded them, once a portcullis was gaping deadly blades.

Not willing to embrace defeat, Vehsurae blasted the wall, and rat swarms dropped on them from the wall. Then Sorshen took great chance and grabbed the party and teleported out of the house of death, they saw mist breathily then they stood in front of the house unharmed.

Alexander found a basket covered by a doily. He used his sword to lift the cover off, and saw a card, a bottle labeled Champagne du le Stomp, some grapes and cheese, and a box of delinquencies. He carefully read the card, he expected nothing good in this land, to his surprise it said “Welcome to Barovia, S.” They remembered Elizabeth Durst’s diary and the mention of Strahd Von Zorovich. They discussed if “S” may be Strahd? They were not 100% sure.

The needed to find a cemetery, they needed to lay the tiny corpse to rest. They headed up the lane, and heard crying from a home just south west of the Bildrath's Mercantile. They decided to pass it. Occasionally they imagined that human eyes observed them, and then closed the shutters if their windows as if most Barovian’s wanted nothing to do with outsiders.

They neared a sign that read "Blood on the Vine Tavern." Below it across from Arrigal’s Wagon set a man. He said have you seen the man whose cart that is? Vehshurae responded alas he is no more. The man sighed his kin won’t like it. I am Vassily, they noticed that this man spoke with the same accent as their dead guide. What was his name Vehsurae asked Vassily, and the man answered “Arrigal, Madam Ava will be sad by this news” he responded. Satisfied they asked the man that they would like to meet madam Ava, but now they needed to find the cemetery. This way said the Vistani and led them north.

They moved by the dower houses of Barovia, skirted a small church and found a suitable plot of land near the edge of the cemetery. They made a hole and maiden placed the tiny body into the soil. As Lelani prayed they saw the baby glow and peace descended over the babe’s features. The corruption was gone now and it had to be a sign, then Sorshen and Lelani cast remove curse and remove disease spells at Alexander at same time, and the green sickly corruption left him.

Vassily said come to the "Blood on the Vine Tavern, I will buy you a drink.” They were tired and a drink sounded good. On the way to the tavern they asked Vassily of the house from which they heard the moaning from. Vassily sighed and said “That is mad Mary”, as if that explained everything. They decided that Mad Mary could wait.

They entered the tavern. "Blood on the Vine Tavern was a tavern, they saw no food here. Several Vistani were here, they nodded toward their new companion and Vassily nodded back. A man got up from a table in the place, and invited them to his table. The man looked like a young noble.

They greated this man. He was Ismark the son of the Burgomaster. He told the party that had an adopted sister, Ireena Kolyanais, and they needed their help.

Ismark was tight-lipped in the tavern, and Vassily bought them three bottles of the Red Dragon Crush wine. The wine was remarkably good. They showed Ismark the letter that Arrigal delivered to them, he examined it and said “That is not my father’s handwriting.”
They did not staid there long, and after they left and headed to the Burgomaster home, on the way there Ismark related his need to take Ireena Kolyana to the Town of Vallaki. By listening to Ismark, they realized that for some unknown reason, Strahd may be attracted to Ismark's sister. They saw a castle shrouded by mist.

They arrived at the house, from examining the claw marks on the woodwork, they realized that for days the house was under attack. Where is the “Burgomaster” asked Alexander, as they came in and saw the coffin in the grand entry. It turned out that Ismark's father, the Burgomaster, has been dead for over 10 days. While they waited Ismark found Ireena, she told them that the great holy symbol that provided their strongest protection from the vampire was stolen. Now, Ireena was unprotected and helpless in the house.
They realized that Ireena may be bitten. They gather the coffin and carry it to the church, the Villagers bar their doors. Vassily smirks “Barovians.” They arrive at the village church across from a house standing in the shade of a large tree [To be Continued…].

To clarify: you're not looking for new PCs, just people to run NPCs? I'd be really interested in playing a high level game like that, but if you're full not much can be done about that

Hello, sounds interesting. Are all the NPCs already made? Would the person running them have any choice in their creation/story etc?
