Hi All,

I am doing some work on Effects within my campaign, and was looking at the Injuries table.

The leg injuries generate an effect description which includes [$Slow].

In this context, what does the $ do? I am assuming that it adds the Hindrance to the character while this effect is in action?

Provides the effect of an Edge, Hindrance Racial/Special Ability; there is a note about it in the 5.2 update.

[SavageWorlds] $Ability effect support in CT effects. For instance `Warrior's Gift [$Quick]` to grant Quick Ability but label it as Warrior's Gift

As an example I have a house rule about bonus raises for a variety of stuff and one is with 2 raises you can get an Extra Action card next round. Coded like this

ER Initiative [$Levelheaded]

Does it only work in the CT?

It works anywhere effects work.

Just to clarify, I believe it only is good for edges, hindrances, and abilities that are coded with an effect or have a mechanical effect. Something like Ace, Assassin, or Marksman won't don't have coded effects and such and won't do anything.

Does it only work in the CT?

At the moment it works only in CT.
