Our 5E game has been intermittent lately, so I'm not sure when this started, but recently I've found myself (the DM) unable to drag tokens (either PC or NPC) through walls or other movement blocking terrain (closed Windows and movement blocking pits).
To move the token I either have to go around or re-drag the token from the Combat Tracker onto the section of map where I want it (rather than just dragging over the two intervening walls like I used to). Or, to get the token out of the pit, I have to "close" the pit first, then move the token, then "open" the pit to put it back to how it was before.
Otherwise, the token just gets "stuck" about halfway through the terrain boundary. No amount of attempting to drag will get it through the wall, though I can easily move it back off into "open" map (i.e. it's not stuck to the boundary, just won't go through it).
This was occurring in my 5E game with several mods (none of which affect the map layers directly, that I'm aware of), but it also occurred in the 4E game I was building that had no mods active what-so-ever.
Obviously, there are work-arounds, but it was always very convenient to just move tokens wherever I need them to be regardless of the terrain in the way.
