My apologies if this question has been addressed already; I have a player with an Amazon Mesh WiFi system. Since going to Unity he constantly disconnects, once every 2-5 minutes. FGC is fine. I know FG performs better on LAN over WiFi, but I’ve never seen a player disconnect like this before unless they had an ancient router.

Is there anything my player can do? Anyone have any experience with this or advise?

Thanks in advance.

I know FG performs better on LAN over WiFi..

FYI: This is not true unless you have a suboptinmal/bad setup.

Grab your logs and the player's logs after it disconnects. You both need to type /console in the chat and click on "Compile Logs" at the top. Afterwards, attach both logs here in the forum. Otherwise we can only guess.

Anyone that is using wifi and has issues I always suggest they get a "wifi analyzer" app on their hone and use it. There are several on each phone's store and are free. They will tell you which which wifi channels are in heavy use around you and then you can go into your router and select a different channel that has less contention. These things change all the time as your neighbors get new devices etc.

IF they are moving around in their house, OR somebody else is moving around in their house they possibly could be automatically switching routers to get the best signal and bandwidth (which is all that a mesh network really is) and they could be getting a a bit of a momentary hand-off issue. They could try and hardwire into their base Eero unit and see if that fixes it.
