I am completely clueless as to where to begin with this. I go to fire up my game and I can't connect.

All I get is "Unable to check lobby server."

The connect button next to Lobby: No connection doesn't do anything.

The lobby is working fine for me. Try rebooting your computer, then reboot your router, then check your security software on your computer and router.

I'm having this issue as well, I've double checked everything I can think of on my end, but everything is running fine. I was hoping to work a bit on getting a campaign setup, but it looks like that's not happening right now.

There are definitely several of us having this issue right now. I have had no issues with connection until today.

All I can say is I'm running a Cloud public game right now with no problems (testing a new network). See if you can connect (but please don't screw around).

I can't log in from the FGUpdaterEngine. It says 'Logging in' but doesn't finish. Today is the first time I've had an issue with connecting.

What if you start FG directly from the executable; FantasyGrounds.exe

Did you run an update? Or click Check for Updates or?

All I get is "Unable to Update Session List from Lobby Server"

I can get a LAN game up, but can't see or start an online game.

Running the Updater for me is fine, it's like I am connected, but also no connected.

Ok, so the lobby server is up, I just checked. That means it's something between you and the server. Have you checked your security software? Your router? What ISP do you use for connecting to the internet? Can you try using a different network such as your phone to test?

My logs all look like something is timing out along the way. I'm wondering if there are just multiple Cloud Servers and the one I (and others) are trying to connect to is just not responding but not failing.

If I start FG directly, I get to the start screen but it says 'Lobby: No Connection" When I put in my FGU license, it hangs for a long time, and then finally gives me this message in yellow" Valid Ultimate License Key (unable to check license status)

Same here.

Hmm, you might try contacting support directly; https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals
Or the official Discord server; https://discord.gg/VKbhkSt

Sorry I can't be more help.

I checked checked the status page for our hosting provider; and it's stating that their are some Internet Service Providers having trouble accessing Ionos-hosted servers right now.
https://www.ionos-status.com/

They suggest trying an alternate ISP (which I know isn't very useful); but perhaps trying a mobile hotspot to see if that works better.

I don't see any network issues with the lobby server. I am currently connected to the lobby server and I can browse the server list without issue. The same goes for the update servers. They are online and I ran updates right before testing the lobby connection. If you are experiencing issues, it's possible that there is a network issue in the path between you and the lobby server.

I was able to logon using a VPN -- logging in without one still isn't working. Just FYI -- in case it helps others experiencing issues.

Just a guess, but given the sporadic nature of the issue (some people are fine, others are not), and Moon Wizards information about ISP degradation; it might be related to the record heat being experienced this week (power/AC failures).

It should have routed around the affected areas automatically, but for whatever reason, it did not.

As Shannara mentioned, a VPN could potentially get around the issue for the time being.

Fortunately, I was able to run the game via LAN connection tonight. So my group was still able to game. I'll have to look into this issue on my end later. Maybe it'll resolve itself as mentioned with the ISP differentials. Personally, I'm using Spectrum.

I also had trouble updating, and also was unable to get to this website. I can now get here, obviously, though haven’t tested updating yet. Hopefully the issue has bedn resolved.

According to the Ionos hosting service status page, it has been resolved.
