View Full Version : How to add the Revenant subrace

Just started using FGU and I'm having trouble adding an existing character to the software.
Trying to access the Revenant subrace from Unearthed Arcana: Gothic Heroes. The existing character is a Elf Revenant, but even after loading the D&D Unearthed Arcana module I don't see it as a subrace option.
My first thought was to simply add it myself, but I can't find a way to add a subrace which can be applied to any race. Do I need to completely recreate the Elf race and add the Revenant subrace?

Any help would be appreciated.
The only Google search brings back a forum question about a perceived bug wherein the Revenant tag being applied to all new characters. Leading me to believe that there does exist a native way to get the subrace into the software.

What ruleset are you referring to? There are quite a few versions of Dungeons and Dragons we support.

That subrace in UA is from 2016 as far as I can tell, SmiteWorks is allowed to only publish UA things from 2018 onwards as far as I know.

See this video for how to create a race and subrace. It should be possible to make a copy of the normal elf and then add your subrace.

As pointed out above the Revenant isn't in the UA.

That clarifies it for me thank you. I was unaware of the 2018 licensing limitation. Thank you all for the speedy response. Sign of a great community, but I would expect that from a community based game like Table Top.
