Setting Default tokens

is it possible at all to set the default tokens for say the PHB without creating a duplicate entry. I have hundreds of tokens that I would just like to set and forget either for the campaign or heck even forever. It is frustrating select a Black bear and the default token is just the letter B.

If this is not a currently available is it something that can be added?
