I am trying to share a map with a player. Put work in filling out walls and lighting and everything for the map. When I share with client my player gets.
[ERROR] Handler error [string "campaign/scripts/masterindex_window.lua"] 360 createWindow: invalid parameter 1.
The map is pitch black when I gave him darkvision and that error. What did I do wrong?

MOD: moved to House of Healing
Script error are almost always due to conflicts with extensions. Please try again in a new campaign with no extensions enabled. If it is an extension, then make sure you have the latest version of the extension and if that doesn't resolve then report to the extension developer where you got the extension.
If the issue persist in a clean campaign with no extensions, then see the link in my signature for the information needed to help resolve.

ok. Currently the campaign has 0 extentions. So it narrows it down. I saw others with a similar issue. But their fixes have not fixed mine. The error messages stopped showing up. It seems to happen when the player tries to load modules I own. But the map remains black. Doesn't even update token position when I move them on the player side.

Is the image in the campaign? Can you walk through the steps you took up to sharing the image.

I open the image in fantasy grounds. I draw in all the walls and activate all the options for lighting and line of sight and everything else. Then I right-click the frame of the image and select sync with client.

Where are you opening the image from? Assets? Images list? A module? The library?
To share an image right clcik on the image itself and select share. Note that the image must be in the campaign list in order for you to be able to share it.

from the images List. When you say it has to be in the campaign what do you refer to? I imported it into the images list using the import files button.

I mean it must be in the campaign - and therefore appear in the images list. If that is what you have done then right clicking and selecting share as noted above should share the sheet. Note that the player will see only a black screen until their token is properly placed on the map and that token has a light source or has special vision. You can click on the preview player view option to test what the player will see.
Oh, and one other thing. Share the image before you put it to the background. Sync view only appears if the image is sent to the background - so that may be the problem.

Can you get the logs from the player side when they experience the error?
After they get the error, ask them to open the console by typing /console in the chat window and then click the "Compile Logs" button and post the resulting ZIP file as an attachment in this thread. This will help to try to identify what is causing the error.
Additionally, what is the exact name of the map record you're sharing?

the map record is underdark 3. i imported it from outside. I need to ask the player for help again. i will as soon as I can.

What do you mean send to background? and the character has darkvision. but still the share does not work.

At the top right of the map there are two arrows. If you click on the up one it will send the map to the background.
Can you confirm that you are right clicking on the map and selecting share? Has the player token been placed on the map by dragging from the combat tracker? Are both you and the player on the same version of FGU?

ok so i found the fix and it is so embarrassing that it came to this. at the time of the error I was using mobile hotspot from my phone as internet. when my home internet was working again I switched to that and now I can share images just fine. so it was a bandwidth issue.

Jolly good, as long as you found a solution :)
