Forge Subscription

While updating FGU I noticed something I never really saw before. There is a part of it that says, "No Forge Subscription." What is this? does it link with another site or program? is it something else I am unaware of? i am very curious now.

It's for an upcoming feature.

I am sure before it actually releases, there will be more details on it.

Basically it is a way for Extension developers to have their extensions updated along with the base application (if they decide to take advantage of it). Lots of users come to the forums after updates because they have some extension or other that had not been updated, so this will hopefully help with that. There is also need for is due to some things that happened with DMsguild a while back.

This would be great! While I really appreciate the extensions folks have written and enjoy the ones I have paid for, the process for updating them is painful.
