I (as DM) can't move tokens through walls

I haven't played in two weeks, but I don't think this was an issue before. I can drop a new token from the combat tracker to a different location, which deletes the old token, but it also clears any map areas the PC had previously opened. Originally seen in a D&D5 game, but I can repro in Core RPG with no extensions as well.

If I turn off Line-of-sight, then I/we can move anywhere, but that defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Did I just miss a new switch or something? I only skimmed the release notes.
