View Full Version : Unable to Uninstall

So on top of the blue screen, I am also not able to uninstall Unity. If i go to the settings and click uninstall through that it simply hangs on that screen and does not progress any further. We waited for over an hour and nothing changed. I tried deleting the folders directly from program files and then reinstalling the entire program but the same problem is happening. The strangest part about the entire thing is that it worked perfectly fine earlier in the week. We were building a character for an upcoming campaign, now suddenly I'm getting all these errors. I even tried to create my own campaign just to make sure that the error was not with chaoticgoodGMs campaign and it still gave me the same error messages.

What o/s are you running on? Did your user change since you were able to do this? Have you rebooted and tried again? Have you checked your anti-virus? Sometimes after an update you need to delete and re-create any exceptions/white list in your security software as it thinks the application is a different one since file size etc has changed.

If the blue screen comes up like the original thread you attached to, you should still be able to hit the Compile Logs button and post here. That will give us more information on what the program is potentially catching an error on.

Sorry if it was confusing but I am ChaoticgoodGMs partner. He asked me to pop in and post exactly what was happening to FGU. I was just responding to what he was writing about my account. The post I made was about the exact problem that was happening because it was the problem. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear.

When I opened the game I got the Error messages and these are the logs specifically during those errors.

I have three files coming up as .xml documents.47355

When providing the log files; just attach the zip file to the forum post by using the Go Advanced button.

Unfortunately, the logs only track the current program startup and the last program startup; which is not when you got the error.

Can you try creating a campaign, clicking the logs button in the upper left while it is loading, and providing the log files right after you get to the blue screen again?

These are the error logs from when i started a new campaign. If you need something different please let me know. And thank you all for the help you're giving me.

I tried that solution and i got an error message telling me that it already exists and it can not be installed. this is the exact message.

EDIT:: never mind. That actually worked perfectly. I got an error message but i managed to go in and manually replace the old file with the new one. I restarted my PC and everything seems to be working fine now. Thank you all again for your help.
