View Full Version : Abysmal image quality in D&D Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden FG version

I just purchased the FG version of D&D Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden from the FG store. The art in the book version of this product is gorgeous and an important part of its charm. But in the FG version the images are tiny and their quality is downright abysmal. I have attached an example ("Copper's letter"); this is supposed to be a handout but it is unreadable due to the poor quality. Am I missing something, are these just thumbnails? If yes, how can I access the full quality images? (GM version, "Images", example is from under "Artwork")

I don't know what resolution your monitor is in but have you tried zooming in? You look like you are using that letter as a background image, ie full screen so the image is scaled to fit your FG desktop. If you windowed it you could zoom in and get better resolution since you don't need to see the blank parchment above or below the writing.

Hi trpeki - images are scaled down more than some would like.
This is for several reasons - FGC had access to less memory, many people still have crappy bandwidth are the main ones.
All images with handout text on them should be legible - if they are not its best to post here with specific info and it will get looked at: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?64816-5e-Bug-Reports-(2021)

I opened the module and agree it is low quality in FGU. I did find a better one with a few internet searches that are only 300K in size and much more legible. I'm not 100% sure you can report this as a "bug" on the 5e Bug Reports, but you might get a faster answer in discord.

Thank you for the answers, created a report. Eru the One, could you please attach the better quality version you found here, I am unable to find any better quality version myself?

An update with an updated version of the image was posted on Tuesday for that module.
