I couldn't find any information on this happening, so I figured I'd post here. I noticed it while working on my custom ruleset where I was doing a /reload so often that I put it on a hotkey.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Load FGC, load/create campaign.
2. Create Character, add portrait.
3. Do a /reload
4. Open character selection screen, see portraits gone.
However, if you then close and reopen the campaign, either by exiting fantasy grounds entirely, or clicking return to launcher, the portraits will reappear.
This is happening for CoreRPG ruleset, as well as 3.5e and 5e. I didn't test any other rulesets though. Also, it only happens in Classic, but not Unity.
