FGU is fantastic, but one of the most frustrating things is that the borders of windows don't seem to accurately portray where to click in order to select what is intended.

This is especially problematic in the D&D - Official Theme. It would be super helpful if clicking on the "shadows" of windows did not count as actually clicking on the windows.

Even after hundreds of hours of using FGU, it is still a common problem to click on the wrong thing when moving windows around.

The official theme have quite large invisible borders around the windows - so this will be what you are clicking on. It will look like you are clicking on Window B but the invisible border of window A will actually be on top of it and so that's what you select. It's just a matter of getting used to it and realising what's happening.

Is this something that will ever be addressed? After 115 sessions across 3 campaigns and countless prep hours, it still just feels so awkward compared to manipulating windows in any other application or operating system.

I'd suggest you just change themes, honestly. If you feel bad enough about it to post, then that theme is more trouble than it's worth to you. It's nice that Unity has multiple good built in themes.

I think its a pretty fair point - it is the official D&D 5e theme after all. The top of the window border might be difficult to address without moving the dragon head logo, but if there are some minor tweaks that could be made to tighten up the borders and slightly improve the user experience I'd think it would be worth it (especially for new users).

I go back and forth between using this theme for my games and it's pretty much just due to just the invisible window borders.

I think it's good feedback. I myself don't use the theme, but not because of this issue. Actually I don't think I was aware of it. No idea of it can be improved upon, but imo it does sound like something worth the devs putting on their list to improve upon if they reasonable can.

Thanks for the replies. I REALLY like the appearance of the official theme over all the others, it's just the overly large invisible (or very light shadow) borders that make it a little tedious to actually use. If those shadows could still exist visually, but be 'invisible' for the purposes of selection (clicking), that would be amazing!

the way the architecture works is that the entire image is the frame, even the bits that are just shadows or transparent.
i dont think there are any changes to this planned.
that is the primary reason I dont use that theme and when I make themes they have minimal shadow or transparent sections.
