Hello all,

I am wanting to create an extension for adding new creature types in a 5E campaign. However, I am not skilled at coding and am hoping for some advice, directions and/or examples on how to do this - if possible. If anyone can assist me with this, I would be very appreciative.

It largely depends on what you're looking to accomplish, specifically. If you want to be able to simply filter by the creature type in the NPC window, then no extension is required, simply set the desired type on an NPC and the next time the campaign is loaded you will see that as a filtering option. If you want it to work for IFT: TYPE() effects, then it should work with a pretty lightweight extension to add an entry to the creaturetype table of DataCommon (if that sounds like mumbo-jumbo, there are some decent extension intro videos on Youtube). If you're looking for more, well it entirely depends on the "more" in question.

I have a tutorial provided here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?65787-Extension-for-custom-damage-types&p=576402&viewfull=1#post576402 :) (for damage types and creature types :) )

(For completeness if someone else reads this here and is interested into doing something similar; I wrote Ezetaurus already in his 5e thread :) )
