Dice number colors other than black and white?

As the post subject line says, is there a way to render the animated dice with numbers/pips other than black & white?

I searched and failed to find an extension for that. Or a prior thread. Despite having the sneaking suspicion that one *must* exist. I cannot possibly be the first person to ask for this.
