Easy goin Gramps LFG any 5e campaign or one-shot

Hello, I've been playing DnD since 84'. Not able to get with peeps for a game so lookin here for some fun and friends. I have DM'd in the past but want to play some games while I figure out how to use FGU better. I can RP or not just depends on the table. Any class is good as well as race. Hit me up for some goblin carnage or not. Thanks and "Is it Thursday yet?"

I recently purchased FGU and consider myself to understand the basics of the software but have not done a deep dive as I have been waiting for the new lighting system to go live. But maybe it is time to just take the plunge. I've been thinking I would DM a session or two but it would be a dry-run to get familiar with FGU and it would not be an actual game. You say you are figuring out how to use FGU better and so let me know if interested in something like that and maybe I'll get cracking. I'm west coast hours but this would probably be weekends.

I played AD&D 1981-1983 but have not touched gaming until the world of COVID brought me back. I'm definitely not a 5E rules expert. I could run test sessions using Lost Mines of Phandelver. I think I have the basics down but it is one thing to read-up on things and it is another to have live players taxing the system.

Welcome to Fantasy Grounds. You are not alone - there are quite a few people who started gaming in the late 70s and early 80s here.

Check out the "D&D Classics" ruleset for the AD&D and 2e games you will remember from back when you started the hobby.

If I had room I'd try to work a couple of you into my campaign (we're an older group - most of us). Maybe at some point into the late spring/early summer, I'll try to start up a second game but it will likely be using Savage Worlds and not DnD 5e.
