View Full Version : Players can't search my games

Having an issue where I can load my games, but my players can't find them. They search for me as a GM and I don't appear, even when I have the server on. We've been using FGU for quite a while so my players know how to use it.

Any help is appreciated, especially since I've put hours of work into this campaign and currently no one can play it. Thanks!

Have any of your players tried the Join By GM Name option? Instead of searching by GM Name?

Is your game set as private or public? A private game will not show up in the games listing.

You can join both private and public games using the Join By GM Name option.

You appear in the list as your forum username not by whatever name you set as your GM name; that’s just for chat. Make sure your players are searching for your forum name on the list.

They tried both and neither works. They've also found my games many times in the past with no issues. They're searching for Alignment Unknown. My server is up now. Are you able to see it?

I'm not seeing you listed.

When I try to join by your name, name not registered with the lobby server pops up.

You may need to re-enter your login information into Fantasy Grounds

Are you set to cloud? Instead of LAN?

Is it because it now thinks I'm a free account? And if so, how do I fix that?

It looks like you are running the demo right now. Exit the campaign and go to settings. You need to enter your license number there and run the update. Then you should be good to go

Why did it do this? And I bought it quite a bit ago. Not sure I have the key in my emails.

Sometimes the updates will make it forget your license number. Not sure why. Go to store- purchase history, and your license is there waiting for you
