Custom spell question!

Hello!

I am trying to make a custom spell to add to my campaign. I can create the spell just fine however the action for the damage does not come with the spell when a player chooses it.
I know how to add it manually however is there a way to edit the spell so it already comes with the action without the DM having to add it manually every time a new player picks it?

Reword something like this. The target must make a Constitution saving throw and on a failure the target takes 2d6 force damage with half as much damage on a successful saving throw.

And I actually mean exactly like that :)
