is there a way to add a name to tokens so when a player or DM rolls over the token the name shows?

I don't want to see Goblin 1 , Goblin 2, Goblin 3

I see the name and Non-ID Name. I have tried changing the name in both and it copies the same name over to the map. I have also made copies of the NPC in NPC and tried to rename them and it defaults back to the first one made.

Make sense? I just want to individualize my NPC monsters for my players

Sure. Drag a goblin into an encounter. Change the name from Goblin to Treedle. Drag another goblin into the encounter and change the name to Teedle-do. Continue dragging goblins or whatever monster you want into the encounter and renaming them so each monster has a different name and there is only one monster per line in the encounter.

You can also set numbering to random in the Options. Or just change the name in the Combat Tracker.
Me, I use that extension.
