missing data from backup

My Tomb of Annihilation campaign database was corrupted due to improper shutdown of computer. Opened backup from a few days before and everything looked good with the exception of my additions to the 'locations' (on story 2.04 and map) of Chult (added in all locations from Isle of Dread and Forbidden City). Is there another location where this may have been saved?

If you made changes to a published module then those are stored in the moduledb folder rather than the db.xml file. Normally those would persist but if they didn't get saved because the campaign wasn't closed properly then it's likely they have been lost. When you restore from a an earlier backup you are almost certain to lose some data, since the backups are for earlier campaign sessions.
