I'd like to have FG to be on both my laptop and a separate TV monitor for tabletop games.

In Windows it is pretty easy to Mirror your main screen to another connected screen.

Just choose Duplicate these displays.

Another option is to start a second instance of Fantasy Grounds and move it to the second screen.

Extending the displays are no problem. Having a player map on the TV and the GM map on the laptop monitor is.

P.S. I'm using the Steam version.

Start a second instance and Join Campaign to the first. You will need a character to assign to the second instance.

Right-click on the taskbar icon for FG and choose Fantasy Grounds.

EDIT: Steam does not matter. The application is the same regardless of where you install it from. You may need to launch it from Windows instead of within Steam, but I have never tried Steam since I did not purchase it that way. However, you should be able to run two instances if you run the .exe directly (instead of via Steam).

Right now FG doesn't support multiple windows. It's either one window that you can mirror on another screen or one that you can stretch across multiple screens. I hope we will have the ability to have FGU support multiple windows.

P.S. there is no difference between the STEAM 'version' and the non STEAM one. Steam is just a purchasing mechanism. Binaries are the same.
