Hi all,
I am running a game and this happened. One of the characters duplicated in the players combat tracker, targeted on themselves, but not in the DM combat tracker. I tried deleting everything out of the tracker, but the one toon does not delete out. I have included two screen shots both were taken at the same time. The one with the toon in it is the player tracker and the empty one is the DM tracker. Another thing that happened at the same time is that I was not able to target enemies. It looks like I am targeted on an enemy but it will not recognize either the attack or damage roll. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to anything.

Going to move to the 2E forum; so that the 2E ruleset developer can see. He does a lot of custom stuff; so I do not know what could be causing that.

I see no attachments.
What you've done is use the Active/Deactive token feature on a PC and then re-added them when they were hidden.

You can fix it by undoing that.

I'm going to change the code so PCs can't be deactivated on a map.

I appreciate your assistance with that. I am still not showing that I am targeted on something. I show the arrow from the active token to the targeted token, but it does not show in the combat tracker that it is targeted. And when I roll an attack or damage it does not apply to the targeted token.

That doesn't sound like what you described in your first post.
Are you running any extensions? Please attach a log or image from the startup chat. Can you replicate the behavior or is it random? IF you can replicate the behavior can you give me a step by step process?

The only extensions I am running are for keep on the borderlands. When I show I am targeted on the map it does not show in the combat tracker. So when I roll an attack or damage it does not apply to the foe that I am targeted on.

It doesn't look like any of your tokens "have initiative".

A token needs to have initiative for targeting to work properly. Once you're ready to start the round (everyone has rolled initiative) click the "Next Actor" button (button left of the Combat Tracker window) and you'll get the gold arrow next to the first token with initiative. At that point they can target as you're trying to. Click the next actor button again to move the initiative to next round.
I would highly recommend taking a "how to" for basics in FG from the FGC if you have the chance. There are also some general tutorials for FG on youtube that might be of use. You can also watch some of my sessions (youtube channel listed below) for details on the ruleset specifically and how I run encounters.

The inability to target happened at the same time that I had the issue with the hidden toon in the combat tracker. The only target that was active was the hidden toon on itself. I just started up a test game and I was able to target and hit/dam the targeted foe. Something happened in this campaign specifically. I am at a loss at this point.

Still not sure what you mean hidden toon. Both of the tokens in the CT show on the map?
If you have deactivated a pc/npc you can type "/ctshow all" and if ANYTHING was marked deactive it'll be set active and show in the CT. If not, you'll have to explain and show me what you mean by hidden toon.

Both of these images are from different games that I have on my computer. In one I see the big red arrow indicating who is acting. In the other it is not there. I am assuming that the lack of arrow is the problem. How do I get that back? I have cleared the combat tracker and restarted the combat several times. I am sorry this is taking so much time, but I am at a loss.

Have you tried another map in the campaign that is having issues? I'm wondering if the local map data is somehow corrupt. If it works in another map I'd revert map changes. If it doesn't, im at a loss whats going on.

It did work on another map. How do I revert map changes? I really do apricate all your help and patience on this.

Right click radial on the map from the images list and revert changes. The book icon with the feather indicates that it's been "locally changed" (you added tokens, etc). Once you revert it back you should be able to re-add the encounter and pcs.
