I can't share my maps anymore. Any that I shared two weeks ago works, but all the new ones, they just get a blank screen.

Do you have LoS enabled on the maps? Have you dragged the tokens from the combat tracker to the map for those players?

Yes the maps have LOS. When I activate it, they see black (even when their token is selected and moving around). When turned off the map turns grey.
I removed ALL 3rd party extensions this morning and tested it.

Try removing the tokens from the map, remove the PC from the CT. Then re-add PC to CT and token to the map from the CT.

What it looks like to me, is that the map hasn't loaded yet for the player. From his console log picture, only 4 files loaded. The map you were using was 25 places further down the line. You have a lot of modules loaded, and there were a lot of asset requests. If you could also get the log from the player when this happens (rather than just the picture), the developers could better point you in the right direction.

Thanks for providing the log files.

As mentioned by @DCrumb, there are a lot of file image files requests from the player to the GM. This is pretty standard when joining a campaign and getting going - especially if the player is opening images quite soon after joining.

Question: Is the player's computer on a WiFi or wired local network connection?

My analysis:

- This never gets sent from the GM, so I'm assuming it's been shared (and downloaded) in a previous session and player is accessing it from their local cache data - I've indicated similar observations below with (not sent). Without clearing the cache and trying again from scratch, we can't be 100% sure if the exact reason for not sending is that the image is in the local player cache.

But the log never shows the player receiving the files.

Observations:
1) We don't know if those initial files that weren't sent by the GM were in the player cache. So we can't make a call as to whether them not being sent is an issue or not.
2) The logs provided don't end with a session exit. Suggesting they were created with FG running. I don't know if the FG logs are written to as events happen, or whether there is a buffer and they get flushed at some points - so we may not be seeing everything here. Although, we do see a gap of no files received on the player side before the new file requests, so log buffering might not be the case.
3) As an aside - there are 61 modules set as player accessible. The player makes a request to the GM for the thumbnails of all of these modules - so that they can be displayed in the module activation window, even if that module won't be loaded. These thumbnails should be small files - usually around 70x70 pixels (sometimes a little more) PNG files - which should be around 13KB - 14KB in size. Some of the third party modules have much larger than this, with the largest being Harbingers of Life & Death (5e Class Pack) At 845KB - not huge, but when the system is downloading lots of these it can contribute to further delays. I don't know if this is specifically an issue, but it is an inefficiency.

So, the next steps in testing I'd suggest are:

1) Before the player next joins, ask them to clear their player cache - the player should go to <FG app data>\cache and delete the directory with the campaign name.
2) When the issue occurs, close the image on the player side, wait a few minutes then re-open it. If the image data is still not there, close the image again and have the GM share the image with the player. See if that kicks off the process.
3) If two doesn't fix it, wait a couple more minutes, exit FG (use the desktop right-click Exit -> return to the launcher) and capture the logs.
4) Something worth considering for testing - within the campaign, the GM should remove player access from most of the 61 modules currently allowing player access. Only keep a handful of modules with player access - just for testing to see if this makes a difference.

I don't think any of the above will specifically fix the issue, but it may help improve things and give the devs a better idea of what the issue might be.

The player is on Fiber (wired) and I am wired as well. I should say that these issues are new, and I have not had these since my move to Unity back in Oct.

1) We do know that it is not in the cache. I was sharing images that have not been sent before. They were able to see old (shared at a previous time) maps
2) The instructions I was given was to pull the log while in game. If all I have to do after exit and post the log, that would be easy enough
3) I can try not sharing any, and see what happens - do you think it is getting bogged down? (I have to admit to a private wish, I wish FG had a server that it refered to, and not count on the host uploading, and sharing)

So what I did try though.... I shared the module that the map was located. Had my user load that module, and then wammo - it worked. So why can't I xfer the image by itself? (I have always been able to). I have ok internet. 54/21

Thanks for trying the items I listed and for providing the logs again. You should be able to share an image without the player opening the module that image is from.

What I do notice in both of the two player logs provided - the last file to be received on the player side before things seemed to stop was "Snowy bushes.jpg@AAW Games Map Pack Vol 3" - maybe there's an issue with this map, or the one being requested immediately after: "DarkFolkLair_VTT.jpg@AAW Games Map Pack Vol 4".

Could you try unsharing those two maps (click the (p) icon next to the image in the campaign data list) and then test with the same player - providing their console logs again please.

Thanks to Trenloe for pointing out this thread.

Just a few pieces of information for everyone regarding behaviors:
* The player clients will, once per session, send a file request for every asset to the host machine with a file hash.
* If the file hash matches; then nothing further is done.
* If the file hash fails; then the file asset will be sent to the player client.
* This is reflected in the console logs currently; and they are typically updated almost immediately. (So, log compilation would catch any updates within seconds or less.)

I just tried sharing all possible maps in AAW Map Pack 1 and AAW Map Pack 4 over my LAN; and I did not receive any missing images. So, it seems like the asset file passing should be working as intended. While it could be possible that I don't have the exact scenario set up to catch this issue; missing asset file issues have usually been tracked to a security settings on the computer or router blocking high-burst traffic or specifically image/file transfer traffic. This seems to be supported by the fact that the player client is matching the GM client in the send/recv file messages in the log; and then the player suddenly stops receiving even though the GM is still sending. If that's the case, it could be that is just resolves during later connections, because less files are transferred in subsequent sessions.

Also, just a reminder whenever posting logs regarding network issues; please post both the GM and player logs together. We need to see both sides of the conversation when possible.

If it's not a security settings issues; I can try to test that locally by getting a copy of the campaign folder zipped up from you (via DropBox or Google Drive).
