Unlicensed User Connecting

Hello all,

Sorry if this has been answered. I'm a new user. I purchased FGU-Ultimate Lifetime License on Steam so that I could host players using free accounts. First night I try it, I get "Unlicensed User Connecting: Switching to Demo Mode" after the first person connects. I could only get one player in at a time. The night tanked, after tons of set up and logistics. I'm frustrated. I ended up additionally purchasing the monthly subscription of Ultimate through the website. Didn't fix it.

Can anyone help me sort out this mess?

[Fear Grounds]

A few things to look at right away:

Are your Steam and Fantasy Grounds accounts linked?
Did you put your license # into the license field and run the updater?
Did your player(s) log into fantasy grounds with their Fantasy grounds forum account log in information?

When you start up the program what does it show in the upper right corner of the screen?

It should say something like v4.0.10 ULTIMATE (2021-02-04).

It should look something like this:

If not, click on settings and make sure to enter your forum username/password and License Key, then click save.

And as Fear Grounds suggests, make sure to link your Steam Account.

When you got your Ultimate license, you would get a specific Ultimate license key. If you got through Steam; it will be a separate license key for Standard and Ultimate, since Steam packages as bundle.
