I'm having trouble updating a module and having all of the spell effects in the module update. I'm currently in a campaign with a group of players that have some spells. I've updated one of the modules that includes a ton of spells and noticed that the players spell effects on their sheet didn't update to match the new spells that were updated. This is the first time I'm using rob2e spell effects and really like how he does it but I can't update any of the spells the players are currently using. I tried to reset the module but that didn't seem to work how I expected it to. Thank you for the help

I'm not sure what you mean by updating a module with a ton of spells. As far as I know the way the you use the Rob2e modules is you drag the 'spells' from the spells list listed in those modules into the character sheet instead of the normal spell. So if you are giving (or if the player is taking) the Bless spell then you'd drag the spell from the Rob2e module rather than from the PHB.
Since (and again I'm not sure on this) the modules should be player modules the players should be able to open these modules and drag the spells in themselves.
If this doesn't answer your question could you give more details of what the issue is.

All the spell the data is copied to a character sheet when the spell is added. There's no reference back to the original spell in a module.
If you want to update to data from a spell in a module then you'll need to delete the spell from the character sheet and drag/drop the one from the module.

Basicly, an update came out for the module and I downloaded it and dropped it into the campaign thinking that the update would apply but when I went and checked all of the spells it seems like nothing was updated to the newer updated version. I'm trying to figure out how to update all of the players spells from the older version to the newer one without having to reapply all of the spells.
Edit: Never mind it seems like I just need to spend a couple hours updating my players character sheets. Thank you for letting me know

Are you talking about one of the Rob Twohy modules?
Also, show the players how to update it and then can do it themselves, just make sure whichever source you are using for spell coding has a Green tick next to it in the Module section of the Library (click a red tick and it becomes a green tick, which the player can then chose to Load).
