View Full Version : How do I permanently disable the new GM approve movement feature

In the last few weeks an update has made it so that the GM has to approve every player move. We have no need of this feature in our game and it's just causing disruption for us. How do I permanently disable it so that we don't have to keep disabling each time we load a new map?

There isn't such a thing. At the moment you'll need to disable it for each map.

Is this a feature that is currently being considered? I'd also like to be able to toggle it off for all maps, I rarely use it except for moving through dungeons. It would be nice if there was an option in the settings to toggle whether it is on or off by default.

I agree, would very much like to be able to set it to off by default.

Devs already said they will add a toggle option in the Settings. In the mean time, just turn off Token Lock on the maps. Takes about 2 seconds.

Oh, I didn't see where the Devs said that but I'm glad they're adding the feature.

Yeah, I DO toggle it off for each map but I use a lot of maps so it gets tedious after a while. I do like that we can lock tokens though, makes it great for maps with line of sight.

Its not about how long it takes, it's about the whole "Okay guys, show me what you're doing" and while they're doing their moves I'm fixing encounters (because encounters don't remember token orientation) and I hear "Hey, Hugh, token lock is on" and so then I have to remove it and have them do their moves again. A two second action becomes a minute of game delay and immersion break for my players.

Also I'm a new DM and FGU is clicky enough when you're dealing with masking, layers, moving tokens and all that. Adding another "new" click for me to forget doesn't help. When I first bought my books and license it was off by default, it was a feature I didn't even know existed until the recent update (just got into FGU in mid December)

For someone who is running PF1 AP modules (that have LOS), it is good to have it always on as that way I can remind my players about attacks of opportunity, "hey you can't just move through walls," etc. I am glad that they will put it in options such that we will be able to change it based on what we are playing.
