I have noticed recently that for the DM to move tokens with the Approve move, I have to hold ALT and drag, but if I then want to change directions (say 10 feet in one direction and 10 in another) I have to hold Shift for those added moves. The ALT option only allows movement in a straight line. Been happening for a few weeks now.

I couldn't recreate the issue you were mentioning.
Just to clarify, you only need to hold the Alt key when first dragging the token. After that, the only modifier key that should matter is the Control key for grid snap override.
Once the planned movement is started, releasing the button will set the first waypoint; and dragging the end waypoint will create a new waypoint.
If you're not seeing that, can you run me through the exact steps for key down, key up, mouse click down, mouse click up, mouse move, etc.?
Thanks,

If you use Alt to make the first and release the Alt, all the moves are "locked" when you move as a GM/DM

OK - its an ID-10-T error - I was holding ALT down the whole time when moving the token instead of letting go after I moved it.
