View Full Version : Bad License Key, Corrupted Account?

When I launched FGU I was told my license key was invalid and to log into the store. When I log into the store to get my order history the page renders with the title bar... and nothing else. Is my account corrupted?

Hey there. When I opened up FGU today, it said my license was expired/invalid/etc. When I go to check my order history to reinput my license, it comes up as a blank white screen. Could someone explain what's going on?

Maybe, have you tried logging in to the store with a different web browser? One without a pop-up blocker or other add-ons/extensions?

If you still can't get in, you may need to reach out to support; Best method is via https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals but if you can't get to that webpage the following email address should also work; [email protected]

Same happened to me, I can still find my key on Steam but it doesn't work. And can't open my order history. There must be a problem with their servers.

Hello, I launched FGU this afternoon to do some prep work for my campaign and got an error message about my ultimate key being invalid. I thought it was weird, clicked through, and went to settings to check the information. Get in there, and there is no key in the license key field. So I go get my key, put it in, and get the error "Key is not Active".

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I am also unable to get to Order History, I've opened a ticket with Tech Support. Seems like part of their customer database is down.

just to bring up a bit of a laugh (because I can't be bothered to get annoyed). We just missed the DnD session because of this issues, can the DM make us win the fight automatically?

Same issue here. My ultimate license was purchased on Steam. Tried re pasting it in the setting and I get the message license key is not active

Store purchase history seems to also be having the same issue(s) with accessing database, so I assume it's related if the launcher uses the same method to grab license data. Hopefully it can be resolved soon

Rest assured, the devs are aware and are working the issue as "Application Down". It will be resolved as quickly as humanly possible.

Seems that this is a problem across the board, definately a system problem with Fantasy Grounds, no keys, no access to the purchase history to recover key, invalid key when logged in. Seems to have happened after it updated itself, then it deleted my key from the client, now I cant access my purcahse history on the site to get another copy of the key.

I got the same problem, I bought my ultimate license through Fantasy grounds shop so it's not a steam-related problem. Hope this gets sorted out soon.

Quick update - just copied and pasted my Ultimate license code, from my order history, and it worked!

Sorry everyone. This was a mistake I made when I adding a new user to our database. I accidentally affected the permissions for the user account which runs the license checks and some other systems.

I already got mine. Maybe that's because I submitted a ticket? Derek was pretty nice about including the free beta when he closed my ticket.

Did you try and slip him a $100 with a handshake? That's how I got my update. /jk

If your settings doesn't have the license key then yes. It also won't hurt to run an update so that your key is validated. Note that the weekly DLC update was just released so you may end up downloading new DLC as well.

I had the same thing today 13:50 UK, I just replaced my key from the purchase list in the store & it fixed it.

Odd situation its happened again, (9pm UK) I'll admit its an easy fix to get license details and paste them in, but shouldn't be needed really.

Something else might be going on with your situation, since this was just a one time issue. Make sure you saved and did a full update. Then close out and make sure it got retained when you open it back up again.
