So, I'm having some serious trouble with FGU. My players can connect to me, my port forwarding works, all that jaz... But for some reason, after a random amount of time has passed, something closes my connection to the players and lobby server and it doesn't come back for another random amount of time.

I've looked into all the processes I have running and none of them would do anything like this. I do not have an antivirus, either.

This is the part of the log which seemed most helpful to me.

If you use a cloud connection do you still experience this? Have your checked your ISP for Advanced Security? Have you checked your router for flood protection, QOS, or Parental controls?

It happens in both cloud and otherwise. My router's interface is, unfortunately, not the best, so I'm not entirely sure about advanced security. I don't think it has flood protection or QOS, and parental controls are off.

When all else fails, reset your PC installation. May seem extreme but my guess is that something you have installed is reserving or blocking ports. (sometimes you have to nuke it from orbit)

Less extreme: Try changing your port manually for FG. In the load screen, it defaults to 1802 but you can set it to something higher.

See, that's the thing, though. If it was the port, they wouldn't be able to connect at all. But they can connect. It's simply after a random period of time that they get kicked off and I become temporarily unable to connect to the lobby servers.

After the players lose connect type /console in chat and then hit Compile Logs
Open a ticket at https://support.fantasygrounds.com and load up the logs with your ticket

So, in my effort to recreate the problem to get the logs for the ticket, the problem seems to not wanna show up. The first time it happened took several hours to happen, so this doesn't exactly confirm it fixed, but so far it does seem to be working.

The only thing I changed was to go into Windows Defender and completely disable the firewall for my current network. Which should not have even been a factor since every single instance of FG on my computer is allowed on both public and private networks. After doing this, it has been almost 30 minutes without the problem appearing again, when last night it took less than 2 every time. So, if this truly did fix it, something is clearly wrong with Windows Defender. Which is an entirely different beast to have to deal with. This solution isn't an ideal one, but it works for now I guess.

2 minutes? that sounds more like a flood protection setting on your router?

Doesn't it though? But that setting wasn't even turned on. It is one of the things I checked. Welcome to my boat, home of the most confusing technical problems on the planet. I'm now dealing with suicidal drivers and blue screens out of left field.
