My players and I played our very first game in FGU yesterday. Many thanks to David Middleton and Joshua Watmough for their very helpful tutorials and answers to various questions.

We attempted to use the Cloud service to host the game. This led to a couple of problems:

Some users were constantly connecting and disconnecting.
One user was unable to see many of the images. I've attached his screenshot.

I finally switched over to LAN since I have a dedicated IP. We had no issues with that connection. I thought perhaps the Cloud service would have been better since my players are located in various states.

Hmmm? I wonder if our sessions would improve if we don't use the Cloud service. Has anyone else experienced this?

In theory, the LAN (direct) connection is more efficient than brokering connections through the cloud service. However, the GM needs to setup UDP port 1802 forwarding in their environment and maintain/troubleshoot any issues with that.

If users are constantly connecting/disconnecting, please help the devs to indentify issues by collecting the logs from the GM and the player/s just after it happens. Type /console in the FG chat window (or click the console horizontal lined button in the top left of the main FG start screen) and then click the "Compile Logs" button. This will create a ZIP file of the logs on your desktop. Upload them as an attachment to an appropriate thread on the forums.

I would open a ticket on https://support.fantasygrounds.com with the logs.

Very good. I'll remember to do the above next time.
