View Full Version : DM move measurement

When tokens are locked on a map, players can drag their token to get a movement path with measurement, and the DM has to approve or reject the move. In FGC, the DM can get the same behavior by middle-mouse dragging a token. This feature seems absent in FGU, as MMB-drag just moves the map when token lock is enabled on the map. Besides quick pointers, does FGU offer the DM a way to define a movement path and, most importantly, show movement required automatically?

Hold CRTL or SHIFT as you move the token, I'm not sure at the moment.
EDIT: or ALT

Okay, ALT does work for the first movement, thanks! However, unlike players, the DM cannot continue ALT+dragging the token to make waypoints along the path, like going around a corner or obstruction. This is a good first step but finishing it out to behave like the player capability would be great.

You start the process by holding ALT then let go of ALT and drag it around as normal, letting go of the token and re-grabbing it when you want to go around a corner (from memory)

That's right, thanks for the clarification.

In other words, there is no way to create waypoints for complex movement paths , measure along the way, like players (in locked mode)?
For straight lines, the above iis fine, but what im looking to do is drag/measure complex movement paths . Is this possible? Apologies if i’m misread the above posts

As the GM, begin the token drag while holding the ALT/Option key. To add or move waypoints, simply drag the token or waypoints as normal.

Thank you very much - I can't believe I never figured this out before - smh. Everyday, I learn something new with FG.
