View Full Version : LOS Creation Issues When Trimming

So am I doing something 'wrong' or poorly? Or is this an FGU issue?

So, when I'm creating LOS I find that very often deleting a node on a segment does not work as intended. Take this map (Thalivar's Beacon from Divine Contention). I have gone and done the walls and now am coming back and have put in the doors. Then to trim out the walls I do a small wall inside the door.

Then I go to the selection tool, draw a box around the line and nodes inside the door rectangle. And about 10% of the time I get this;

Sometimes I also find that it removes the cutting node, but does not remove the wall I cut (and actually removes the node).

Sometime I can undo it and redraw the cutting node and it works, but usually when it starts doing this I can't get it within 3-4 tries and I give up and start again.

Attaching the campaign file.

Bit of a challemge figuring out your issue since none of your files are actually attached to your post.

See the videos linked here (numbers 10-13) for how to do LoS; and if you still have an issue then you could maybe post the screenshots this time. https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1056145596/How+Do+I+In+Fantasy+Grounds+Unity+by+Zacchaeus

Note that Divine Contention should already have LOS in it. Shouldn't be something, in general, you need to do.

Months ago there were issues with trimming LOS entities in FGU, but at least for me they were fixed quickly. Make sure you are upto date, as well that if you have made module changes you Revert them to get the latest versions of DC (though I would test that in a new campaign before you revert and lose your work!)
