Stand alone version with Steam Extras - can it be done?

Is there a way I can activate some Steam FG gifted items on my FG Unity (non-steam) program, or activate a Steam license without having to pay and extra $40??

You can activate a store bought license in Steam. Go to the Steam UI and click on the games dropdown at the top and then activate a product on steam. Add your license key and then install. The gotcha here is that the licenses are only sent to Valve every few weeks so if you bought your license recently then Valve won't know and you'll get an error. Eventually though it will get to them and you'll be able to activate.

Once you have done so you''ll be able to purchase stuff via Steam.

Note that in order to purchase items on Steam, Steam must know you have an FG license. FG Store licenses are only sent to Steam every few weeks, because it's a manually process on both sides.
