Imagine for a second if FGII was on a system like this:

Bill Gates just announced this, and I could only begin to imagine... <sigh>

Someday that will be the ultimate gamer's table. FG X (we can dream can't we?) will have integrated voice and video chat allowing people to game in person around the world as if they were all sitting in the same living room.

Heh, well, all those people saying MS doesn't have any new ideas left after seein Vista are definitely holding their tongues now. The potential of this interface is simply astounding, and really gets the imagination going, unlike all current OSes that are basically carbon copies of each other, with new features few and far between and mostly borrowed from competitors. The only drawback is imagining how much one of those 42"-50" high-pixel-count interactive desk screens is going to cost....

Actually, Microsoft isn't the first one to have this idea. Touch-driven table screens like that have been talked about in the past by many others. There's even been prototypes built.

All I have to say about a Microsoft site demanding the use of Flash is: WTF?!!?

If this is about the touch-sensing interfaces where you can move controls around with your fingers a la Minority Report or Matrix Reloaded, here's a similar device. (https://www.cs.nyu.edu/~jhan/ftirtouch/)

That's pretty much exactly what it is, Dach, but it's the size of a coffee table. Unless it banks like an drafting table, it'll mostly be an expensive novelty toy.
