Text aliasing issue

I was looking at the text closely while discussing another issue, and noticed the readability of text really suffers at small font sizes. In this case I was looking at the text in token labels and numbering. I assume this is due to the aliasing of the text, but I'm not a font guru. Please look at the attached image and see how several of the characters are basically illegible.
