i recently encountered that issue...

i use to export my FGC maps to FGU, add LOS (which created a XML file for each map) then I exported back both the map and its XML file to FGC to have my whole module exported from FGC with LOS capability... however i can t modify existing XML files or even create a new one????

where is the occluder data stored now?

Occluder data for the LoS when you add LoS to an open module in Unity is stored in the moduledb folder under the name of the module that you added LoS for. This has always been the case. If you create LoS in Unity on a map created in Unity or a map that has been added to the campaign in the images and maps folder the data is stored in the db.xml file for the campaign.

The only data which exports from Unity will be the latter situation and such an exported module won't work in Classic. If you added LoS to an existing module then you'll need to use the tool to extract the xml data from the moduledb file and add it to the images folder of the module. See here https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996645681/Developer+Guide+-+Extracting+LOS+Data+for+Modules

Thx Zacchaeus,

i am using Dungeondraft to FGU script which gives me a XML file automatically, however i have to make some modifications to add the new features (secret doors etc...) and ended up in this situations...

Too bad the LOS tool is only for Windows.

Does anyone know if there's plans to make a Mac compatible version? Or are Mac users not going to be able to make custom modules with LOS for their campaigns?

I don't know the answer to that but won't the application run in a windows emulator in the meantime?

I don't have one to test, and I use this computer for recording music, so I don't want to have to run two operating systems at the same time and slow it down in order to test this theory.

Just to be clear, if I create a new campaign in FGU that represents book N of an adventure path, add a map with LOS data to that campaign, and export that campaign to a module, then the LOS data will be exported and usable in the main campaign that loads that module?

If the adventure path is of your own creation - by that I mean you have created the whole thing including the maps in Unity (or imported maps into unity and added them to the campaign) then your LOS will export along with everything else. If the Adventure path is a published module then the LOS data will be in the moduledb folder inside the campaign folder of the campaign you do that in. And this LOS data will not be exported.

Also, please note that any modules created for the FG store need to be created in FG Classic first, then LoS added in FG Unity, then a separate tool applied to extract the LoS data to be added to FG Classic campaign so that it's included with export.

Yes, there are extra steps here; but it will remain that way until FG Classic is retired.
