Not sure if this has been asked or not, and with a 166 pages I didn't feel much like wading through message after message to look. Is it ever going to be possible to create folders in the notes tab to be able to better organize that tab?

Probably not. Note are designed to be used by players and not the GM, therefore they have limited capabilities. GMs should use Story entries which can be organized into groups and filtered.

There is no plan for that.
Players dont have the ability to create folders in the database.

i kind of figured that. I'm mostly the GM so I do use story entries quite a bit, but I do get to play occasionally and the inability to organize that tab drives me nuts as the player. i usually have to resort to creative titling to try and organize, but eventually that gets cluttered. Even if the players couldn't make folders, it would be nice if the GM could do that to help the players utilize that tab better. We've taken to using an outside source to keep our information better organized, but it would be nice to keep it all in house so to speak.

You might have a look at Player Agency extension.
It might help (or might create even more clutter).
