updater works but FGU does not load after update

Greetings,

I have a player that after the update FGU does not load. Any suggestions?

First thing to check is to see if their security software has quarantined the program. Check the security logs, check the application folder, make sure it has all the same files/programs as your install.

Check the system logs to see if their are any related events.
Check the FG logs (updater.log?) to see if they indicate.
Screen shots of the application installation directory with details shown.
Folder permissions so they have permission to run the program.
