View Full Version : upgrade from classic to unity issue

a friend updated from classic to unity.
he loads a map that has LOS. enables it but it doesnt work.
he has updated a few times but still doesnt work.
please advise..

When I have seen others with this issue, it is usually because the player tokens have been added to the map directly from the character sheet. They must be added to the Combat Tracker first, then dragged from the CT to the Map for LoS to work. Once that is done, the player needs to click on their token on the map to activate LoS.
The next thing to do is to make sure the GM has the map in Play Mode (https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGU/pages/950633/Working+with+Images+as+the+GM#Play-Mode) (the d20).
If that is not the issue, we'll need some more information about what is being used.

Additionally in this case it would be useful to know what module is being used and if it has LoS already.

he said that he grabbed it from the CT. he used CoS. Coffin makers house. it has LoS. Clicked the Eye to turn it on but it still didnt work. It works fine on my FGU. so i was wondering if it had something to do with him upgrading?

Pictures please. There are 10 different user errors that they could be doing. Pictures will help us narrow down to which one or two they are doing.

he got it sorted. ( i think he wasnt pulling from the CT but... )
