Businesses dont generally tell you when they are going to have a sale.
Historically Fantasy Grounds participates in Steam Summer and Winter Sales and maybe Blacky Friday sales.
Additionally every week some products are on sale.

I would assume Cyber Monday there will be a sale. It could either be on their website and steam. A way to determine if a sale could occur is to look at trends. There is a website that looks at price history for items on steam, including DLC for Fantasy Grounds.

If it is D&D you can purchase from either store, I would pick 1. For pathfinder I would pick directly from FG’s store.

As a heads up Roll20 sells there items for more then FG and they rarely go on sale. Be wary of other VTT like Foundry that has no license with WOT or Paizo (to my knowledge). Also be aware any connection they have with D&D Beyond is via an unauthorized 3rd party module.

I have been considering Foundry because of a PDF importer for PF2e. If there was a sale now on FGU, I would buy all the PF2e stuff, but no bundles and I missed the last sale :-(
