So this is from playing in Symbaroum with the Chronicles of the Copper Crown module, but probably applies equally to all rulesets.
Some of the maps for the module have GM only information, see attached. This particular map is labelled The Headquarters, but there are others with the same flaw. As the maps are part of the module, I cannot edit the map itself, see the red padlock, but have to create a copy of the map, which I can then edit, turning off the pin visibility before sharing. Unfortunately, the players still see the pins on the shared copy, even with pin visibility off and not showing on the GM screen. I edited the copy and made the pin text not public. The player can still see the pins, but when they click them, they get a module not loaded error, see attached #2. I have not (yet) found a way to delete the pins from the map copy.
<whine>Fortunately, for me, I have the PDF of the scenario and I can create a new map from that without any of the annotations, but that shouldn't be necessary. This is def. the original module designers fault, but really, putting a cross section showing the pit trap on the same image as the floorplan? I can mask that part of the image, but as I had to make a new copy anyway, just cut it off. Lots of Symbaroum maps do this, its in the original PDF module, so these are a true copy of the original but when converted, perhaps some editorial liberties could be taken.</whine>
Soooo anyway, the pin visibility needs to be fixed, and the pin text not being public throwing an error. It would be nice if the pin visibility was linked to the text being public, so I can then add the pins back in as the players explore the map.
Latest Unity version, Symbaroum ruleset. See attached #3.
