Recently I ran a test with a friend from a discord server that I play on. I ran this test since I trust him but 90% of the people I don't know. My issue is I host a session, with ultimate, and I gave him the room name. He couldn't find it, I gave him the DM name and he couldn't find it. He had to connect by searching for me based on the name I use to login. Surely there is a way to change this to were I don't have to give my account login to everyone that wants to play?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

It's not your account login. You should be giving them your account username, never your password. If you place a password on your campaign, please do not use your account password, make up something or even just use something simple like "gametime".

If you host a Cloud - Public game, your useranme and campaign name will show up in the list, and its best to put a password on the campaign if you are worried about strangers interrupting your game.

If you host a Cloud - Private game, then your username will not show up in the list (hence private), and you will have to tell your players username for them to 'find' you. If you put a password on the campaign, they will need to know that too.

If that's not the case, please give us more details.

I do put it as public but put a password on it which I give them. So I made a campaign and used DnD 5e ruleset, I put a password on it, chat name is Chuckles, Server Type Cloud, Server list is Public and the Campain name is Chuckles Tavern. The only way for them to find the game without hopefully finding it when scrolling is to search by DM name and put in the same name I use to log into this site and FGU with. I mean I have a strong password to my account and I don't use the same password, Its a simple one related to the discord server I play on. Just want to know why they can't just type Chuckles Tavern and find it that way, why do I have to give my account username/login name, which are the same and I have no idea how to change it to be different. They should be able to search just for Chuckles Tavern the campaign name, or if I put Chuckles as my chat name, that should be my GM name for that campaign. I feel like I'm missing something somewhere, I've never been comfortable having the Account name and display name be the same thing.

One easy reason: 90 people could choose to use the name Chuckles. Now which one to connect to? Same with "Chuckles Tavern". And it's actually _easier_ to make these with a malicious actor. They could just look in the lobby and find one to impersonate. Your username is not sensitive information.

The game list is sorted alphabetically by the GM name - it should not be too hard - other than lots of scrolling all the down to S - you can also load a second instance to see if your name is showing up.

Concerning "a lot of scrolling". The Lounge should allow to press keys for quicker access (press S scrolls all the way down instantly).
