Just a note to say thanks.
I love the themes on the smiteworks store for FGU. Please keep making more.
A small suggestion, please keep the fonts larger like in the sci fi theme and a bit more contrast (you fixed this on the gothic one).
My players did not like the Gothic as it was a bit too hard to read but I loved it.
If you take requests > I'd love to see a light back ground (tan or light grey) and a 'fantasy theme with Dragons or some fantastic theme like a knight with upraised sword facing a dragon or a giant!
Again thank you. I love them, please keep on making them!

Have a look at the alternate leather theme and associated decal on this page: https://www.fg-con.com/free-downloads/
Not tried it myself but the preview image appears to be close to what you're looking for..?

Thank you so much. Themes can be a lot of work but they are also very rewarding. We will be releasing one new theme a month and I certainly am very open to user suggestions and requests. Also, if you see some issues, such as an area in a particular ruleset that is difficult to read or a graphical problem please post it and I will get it taken care of straight away.
Thanks again,
JW

I really love the gothic ruleset and my dnd players too. Only minor problem is that the curtain 'falls over' the shortcuts bar at the bottom. So some slots cannot be used.

Thank you so much for pointing this out. Is this in full-screen mode? And if so what resolution is the screen on which this is happening? Is the UI being scaled? And if so to what?

Josh, great stuff on the new themes. So far they haven't been quite up my alley, but I just love the fact that they're being made. I'm sure you've got the next couple months' worth planned out, but I'd like to voice my request for more "clean" looks. I really like the readability of the Simple Gray and Brown themes, and the Official WotC theme (though that one is in desperate need of a dark variant). Less Fantasy TableTop and more Modern UI. I know it's not exciting, but I think there's a pretty decent market for that style. Thanks again for your hard work on this stuff, excited to see what comes out in the next couple months!

I agree that a dark variant of the "Official D&D" theme would be great. In fact, even a slightly modified version of the original with a slightly shorter (top-to-bottom) dragon title bar would be swell (the banner takes up a lot of space). You're doing great, though! Keep up the great work. These are much appreciated.

Thanks so much all! I very much appreciate the kind words. I have several themes already completed and scheduled for release over the coming months. I am creating new themes all of the time and am indeed planning a 'modern' style theme for creation next month.

Actually, my laptop has only a resolution of 1366 x 768
If I make the scaleui to 75%, all is ok.
Thanks for answeringme, but don't spend time on it. It's totally OK so :)

I like this theme as well my only minor complaint is at 4k resolution (I don't know what my scaleui is currently at) the gargoyle head, at the top, falls far to the left of center. It mars it's beauty a tad bit.

The head is movable. You only need to right-click on the head to unlock it and place it where you wish much in the same fashion as the dice tower.

One more thing...that would be only for the client it's moved on(like the dice tower) - correct?
I feel like I'm being nit-picky here....Is it possible that it's default starting position be based on FG's window size? Calculated to center.
I'm assuming a lot of people aren't going to know that they can move that head and it mars the themes perfection ;)

Must not be. I spent quite a few logins and keystrokes trying to discover this. Whatever it is.

I'm sad now. You are right, it's not been enabled in FGU. Admittedly it was annoying in FGC when you accidentally held down shift during a die roll and the darn die would spend for near eternity, but when you meant to do it, it was fun :)

I believe they do but I haven't tried outside 5e.
Just tried Gothic in Cthulhu and it works perfect.

The should work with any of the rulesets officially supported by Smiteworks. Josh has asked that we let him know of any wonkiness we find.
Obviously, with community-made rulesets/extensions, YMMV.

Thanks for your effort with the themes. They do look really nice. I didn't find a where we can put our suggestions or requests therefore I hijak this thread (sorry). As some of the older fantasy ground users remember there was a different theme. To my knowledge it was discontinued but I really liked it (forum thread (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?38080-FG-Themes)). Therefore it would be happy to have something similar (https://i.imgur.com/asOqxS0.png).
Keep up the good work.

When you are not sure where to put a discussion, you can always start a new thread :)
Feature requests usually go on the Wish List, but this one would probably need a thread on the forums here to attach graphics to. But you can always link the two (the idea informer and the thread here).

For bugs and discussion it would be best to respond to this thread if it's related to the Official Smitework's Art and Map Packs

Does anyone know where I can download the standard theme fore the core RPG ruleset? The one that has coloured buttons on the right? I've seen people using this on Youtube but for some reason I don't have it, and the colour coded buttons would save me a lot of time of squinting at my button text! :D Thanks

Welcome to the forums :)
All the default themes are installed with FG. The one you are describing I'm 90 percent sure is not a standard theme but one from the forums here. Community CoreRPG themes should be listed here; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20320-CoreRPG-Community-Extensions
There are also official additional themes from SmiteWorks that are on the store and can be purchased from this list; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/?sys=-1&pub=1&typ=12&search=&sort=1

The CoreRPG base theme does, indeed, have differently colored side-menu icons. The problem comes when you use a different ruleset as they tend to have their own base themes that override Core's.
@Minkletoes It wouldn't be super difficult to create an extension that uses the CoreRPG buttons. I would just do it for you, but I currently lack the time necessary.
I'm pretty sure there's at least one theme/extension out there that does what you're asking, though I don't recall if it's a general extension or for a particular ruleset and it may use different icons than CoreRPG.

So nice, nice muted colours, until you open the combat tracker with enemies on it in red; BAM! MY EYES! MY BEAUTIFUL EYES!
Its my only criticism is the red in the CT for enemies is pretty Garish....

I want to also just say thanks for these themes. I've been on a "DM break" of sorts since about early October. I plan to get back to running a campaign after the holidays, hopefully at least.
The winter theme should pair well with Rime of the Frostmaiden!

Thanks so much! I am so glad you are enjoying the themes. The head element in the gothic theme should return on reloading or just exiting and restarting your campaign. To reload without exiting, type /reload in the chat entry and hit enter.

If you are looking for suggestions of themes to create in the future: Western.
I will be running a Deadlands game in the coming months, and the right theme would help to set the mood.
Thank you. The themes look amazing.
