I see it has a weapons table, is there any way to edit/update the table to add new or custom weapons?

Also, is there a armor table somewhere to add to the character sheet?

Thanks

Mod: ruleset specific questions are best asked in the forum for the ruleset. BoL doesn't have its own forum, so best asked in CoreRPG forum.

Hi Furio74

You can add new weapons directly to the Character Sheet. Once you add the item click on the link icon to edit the dice by clicking in the dice field to cycle through the options.

BoL is a rules light system and many things are not fully fleshed out in the game rules and this is reflected in the ruleset. There are no specific armours in the ruleset - eg there is no Bronze Breastplate or Leather Armour. Instead there is Light Armour, Medium Armour and Heavy Armour. There are two methods of calculating how armour works - either a static number or one based off a roll. Some add mechanical impacts to Agility and Initiative and Spell Casting and some Story impacts if wearing armour in social situations where it is frowned upon.

Add Armour like this:

Leather Jerkin | 0 | 0 | 0 | [drop a d6 in box]-3
Chain Shirt | 0 | 0 | -1 | [drop a d6 in box]-2

Thanks Damned. I used your video as a starting point with this rule set, and it is very helpful. I don't see the links you are talking about. See my screen shot. I added a new weapon to this character as well as dragged a few from the weapon table.

Thanks

Armour looks like it should work as you have it set there.
For the weapon properties first add the name and then click the Red/White/Black icon at the end of the row and you can click in the dice field (not drag dice) to cycle through the damage values.

Ahh ok, got it now. Not too intuitive for sure. For armor though - is there only a single field for 1 type of armor? I can't seem to add anything else.

Thanks

Yes a single line only.

Combine your helm and shield if you are using into the armour values

Even then the rulebook is confusing -

Helmet +1 to armour protection Social / –1 initiative –
Small Shield –1 to be hit on one attack/round – –
Large Shield –1 to be hit on all attacks/round –1 agility –

Helmet references Armour Protection and uses +1 while shields talk about "to be hit" and uses -1
I would personally write it like this for your helmet and shield

Leather Jerkin, Helmet, Shield | 0 | -1 | 0 | [drop a d6 in box]-1

And ignore the attacks/round.
