Are those custom maps or the ones from the module? I don't remember the module specifically so can't tell. From the preview pics they look really nice for the era.

I re-created the originals because the quality was not viable for VTT use. The original maps are included however with the best effort alignment if a DM really wants to use them.

Dungeondraft is quite a handy bit of software.

Dungeondraft is quite a handy bit of software.

If it were not for DD I would never have finished this product. 45 or so maps recreated... DD made it much easier. When they allow us to use larger maps (FGC end of life reached) I'll go back and refresh the maps for a higher resolution so the quality is even better.

They look great, so hats off to you!

Oh wow that's amazing. Thanks for this.

just fyi it doesn't appear in the D&D Classics - AD&D 1E/2E tag it's grouped with 3rd party products

I have my fingers crossed for dragonlance classics in the future lol

Really great conversion, as the maps done in dungeon draft any chance of running this script https://www.reddit.com/r/FantasyGrounds/comments/he3fod/i_created_a_script_to_convert_dungeondraft_los/ and adding the LOS data for unity users please?

I'm aware of the wall addon but as of yet I've not setup LOS on maps for FGU. The process is... not what I'd prefer at the moment and hoping at some point I can build it directly in FGU to avoid my issues.

By far my favorite published adventure material, and I'll be sure to grab this sometime next year when I'm considering running it again. (in Mystara this time)

Years ago I converted the first two books to C&C and that was a huge undertaking, I can't even imagine how much work this was. Cheers!

Noticed, or maybe failed to notice, that the DM map of Haranshire is not present in this module so I have included it here for those that need a copy of the DM map.

It is in the release under Images->Maps, Original. However I'll add a link to it under the color version displayed in the reference manual. I went with the color version and pinned the DM locations. I thought it looked much better but, you are correct, the DM named location map should be at least referenced there.

I found this great bit of in depth review of Nightbelow. I think it would be very useful for someone planning to run it as preparation.

Can you buy the Night Below and run it using 5E? Also what does it mean when it says -- one time purchase of the D&D Classics - AD&D 1E/2E ruleset. Where can you buy that?

The 2e ruleset is part of FGU. You do not have to purchase that.

Whether you can run it in 5e or not, I'm not the best person to ask but there is a extension that lets you open a module for another ruleset in your current ruleset.

You'd need to replace all the encounter npcs and items with 5e versions at the very least.

Universal mod will allow it to open but as stated, you will need to redo all encounters and items. Most likely, maps, images, text should all be fine. Balancing encounters and having similar creatures can be the issue (text will not match creatures you have to change and such)

Thanks for those answers! Its seems it would be best to run it as 2E. Any supplements that I need to get to add to FGU to help out? PHB, DMG, Monstrous Manual?

I would recommend the PHB so your players will have the ability to drag/drop class/race/skills/spells for making characters but outside of that you "should" be able to run it with just the PHB. The MM is a good add on the chance you want to add a creature/encounter that doesn't exist in the adventure. The DMG has all the treasure and magic items with various generation tables but not required unless you want to add some of that on your own.

I wouldn't recommend trying to run it w/o the PHB at the very least tho.
