There are two locations in the Fantasy Grounds Unity file structure that you can store image files and token files (not including modules). Which location to you place these image files and why?

This is a good question I would also like to know the answer to.

Do you want the assets available in all campaigns or just one?
Root = all
campaign = campaign

My general rule of thumb is if the image/token is only going to be used for a single campaign, I keep it in the campaign folders. If it could possibly be used in more than one campaign, then I put them in the root folders. The vast majority I end up keeping in the root folders because they may be useful at some point in another.

Why not make a folder in the root folders for each campaign? As mattekure states, you never know if that image could be useful in the future.

Fantasy Grounds/images/campaign name/
Fantasy Grounds/tokens/campaign name/

If I'm going to put them in the root folder, them I am going to organize them in logical sub-folders. To me, campaign name is not logical when it comes to re-use. I would not want a campfire asset and a roasting spit to be in two different sub-folders (because I originally used them in different campaigns), I would want them in one sub-folder such as 'camp site items'.

Another way to think of it, If I'm going to re-use an asset, I don't care which campaign I originally used it in, nor am I going to browse for it based upon the original campaign data.

I would still create a module rather than have them running loose in any folder; but definitely in the root folder(s) for images and tokens so that they can be accessed in any campaign.
