I have been testing with FGU, and I noticed that when you start zooming in, there is a point where the grid become very noticeable, almost changing colors and getting thicker lines. This seems to be really noticeable on larger maps. It happens with custom assets and with assets provided with modules.

For example, here is a capture zoomed out:
40870

Next if I zoom in one click, this is what it looks like in roughly the same area:
40871

This is quite jarring when it happens, is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Make the grid less visible. Use the Alpha (A) slider and move it to the left.

Thank you, that's helpful. It's still a strange user experience, would be better if it was a bit more gradual.

I believe at one point John or Carl mentioned that the grid lines were set to be 3% of the grid size, with a minimum of one pixel width when zoomed out. I do what Mr. Z does, and just lower the alpha of the grid so its not as noticeable.
