Planned Duration & Frequency: 3-4 hours per session & Weekly preferably
Term: Medium term since the campaign isn’t too long, but willing to extend the adventure if interest remains by the end

Roleplay & Combat mix: Attempted 50/50 roleplay and combat

Character starting level & equipment: Level 1 with starting equipment from PHB except for gold (gold will be rolled and based on your character’s lifestyle), starting ability scores will be based on either rolls or standard array (player’s choice). Leveling up will be based on XP.
Character restrictions: Mostly open. Homebrew classes/races/abilities can be discussed before/during session 0 but I would prefer if players stuck to the supplements I own below.
*The supplements I own are: Standard PHB, Xanathar’s, Volo’s, Mordenkainen, Eberron, Elemental Evil Companion Guide, Sword Coast Adventures Guide
Details of your scenario:
Your character’s have made their way to the city of Neverwinter at some point in their life, whether it be by visit or living there or some other reason you decide. Each of you would be contacted by a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker, asking you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days' travel southeast of the city. Your characters have their reasons for accepting this request, whether it be for the promise of good and easy pay or perhaps you know him personally and this is a favor he has called upon you or some other reason that you may decide upon character creation.
Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found "something big," and that he'd pay you ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen's Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to "take care of business". You've spent the last few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, and you've just recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. It’s been a trip with no troubles thus far, but an approaching storm is on its way, causing you to pick up the pace towards Phandalin.
**I would appreciate those who wish to play have a character(s) in mind either based on the resources available in the list above regarding the supplements I own. As I am somewhat new to DMing, I am likely to get rules wrong or confused with other editions/games, so I would appreciate it that if you are a dm yourself, that you bear with me and help a fellow dm out. final say on rulings will be up to me, but players may express opinions or corrections on a ruling as they occur.
**Please respect other player’s decisions/characters/person, keep in mind that there are other people playing, and limit the discussion of dividing topics, such as political beliefs (there’s enough of that on the internet already). Limited min/maxing and meta-gaming is requested and try not to devolve into murder-hobos if unjustified.
**I will be monitoring requests as they come and will try to update the post as slots are filled. If you are interested post your interest here and send me a PM with a little about you, your experience with DND 5e and FG Unity as well as the Lost Mine of Phandelvar campaign, and the class of character you’d like to play as well as 2 other side choices to keep in mind.
