View Full Version : Clear all targets, target all allies or foes buttons in Unity

Should these buttons still exist in Unity like in Classic and should they be usable also for players?
According to this https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?54858-Clear-All-Targets/page2 there might be bugs relating to this.
I assumed Unity to have this functionality but when I was teaching a new player to use FGU, they were not present and later I tested it myself as well (launching FGU as GM and Player) and they were not present for me either. Do I need to do something to "activate" them somehow for example?

Make sure that the image toolbar is visible for the GM - this shows it for the player too. The button to show/hide the toolbar is to the right of the image name and to the left of the lock/unlock button.

Thanks, that was it. I don't think one had to open the toolbar in Classic so I didn't realize one could in Unity.

The toolbar button is new functionality in both classic and unity (as of CoreRPG v3.3.11). The process is the same for both.

I did some playing with this toolbar, as two days ago one of my players could see it, but then on the next map he couldn't see it, even though I had it available on my screen both times.
We tested it, and it doesn't appear to be dynamic; ie. as DM it doesn't appear/disappear for players as I hit the toolbar toggle.

There were some update problems of the target buttons, sometimes it can help to put the map into the background once (and then back) (and make sure that there are tokens on the map, which was seemingly the case when you saw the buttons). I am not sure, but maybe players have a toggle button, too (didn't test)
There was recently a fix for this update problem, but maybe it is still buggy. Nevertheless, maybe check whether you have the most actual version :)

I think Kel is correct. As long as you have a token on the map and have the Toolbar toggled open before you share the image then the players will see the toolbar. Otherwise they won't. You can correct the issue by unsharing the image; toggling the toolbar and then resharing it. The toggling of the toolbar doesn't seem to be dynamic - I don't know if that is intended functionality or not.
